General availability lands Dec 22. The first production auto-update window opens Jan 31. Score your plan in 5 minutes, see your gaps live, and put the dates in your calendar.
Microsoft's dates are fixed points. The holidays and year-end close that fall between them are what shrink your testing capacity.
Sources: Microsoft Learn, "Service update availability – Finance & Operations" (updated Oct 8, 2026; checked Oct 29, 2026), plus "One Version service updates FAQ" and "Versions update policy" for the pause and cumulative-update rules. The sandbox date is derived from Microsoft's rule that a sandbox auto-update occurs seven days before the production update. Dates are subject to change. Holiday and year-end periods are Crestech's planning assumptions, not Microsoft dates.
Paused 10.0.49? Then 10.0.50 can't be paused. Updates are cumulative, so 10.0.51, a major release (GA Mar 12), includes 10.0.50's changes. At least two updates a year are required. To pause a release you must pause both auto-update windows, and pausing isn't available if any sandbox or production environment is more than one version behind.

General availability to the first production window is 40 days, holidays included. Starting on the preview build gives you about two months more.
